What these pages do
The Ornament Annual is a publication of static pages. There are no reader accounts, no sign-ups, no comment forms, and no newsletter lists. The pages set no cookies of their own, run no third-party advertising networks, and load no analytics suites. What you read here stays between you and your browser.
What our server sees
Like essentially every web server, ours keeps standard access logs: the address a request came from, the page requested, and when. We use them for keeping the site healthy and for nothing else. They are not joined to any identity, because the site has no identities to join them to.
When you leave through a link
Shopping links on our shelves lead to merchant sites, principally eBay and Amazon, and those merchants operate under their own privacy policies from the moment you arrive. Our live eBay and Amazon links carry an affiliate identifier so that a purchase can be credited to the Annual, as described in the Publisher's Notices; that identifier tells the merchant which publication sent you, not who you are. Links to museums, archives, and other references are plain links.
